Such types of triangular shields were popular among the warriors from the XII century to the XV century. Usually, they were made of plywood but there were also much heavier steel versions. 

We made this shield perfectly suitable for buhurts, duels and HMB tournaments. It weighs a bit more than the regular shields (3.5 kg) but if you require a durable shield to get a high level of protection and punch your opponents, our shield is a perfect match for you. It is made of thick wood, canvas and durable leather for edging. Soft leather straps on the back of the shield allow you to attach it to your arm.
