Sallet

German Sallet 15th C. Exceptional example of a German Sallet, made of one piece. The Sallet had to be hammered into shape. This process was painstakingly long and required the most utmost precision and a complex ability to envision a constant conceptual image of the piece being made. Similar techniques are still being used by modern day Jewellers .
