Cuisses with shin guards

This pair of cuisses with shin guards is from the collection of the Churburg Castle in Vinschgau (South Tyrol, Italy). This piece of armor is dated back to 1360, Milan. The first mention of this castle was in 1259. The castle had several owners and lots of reconstructions. There are about 50 preserved sets of armor belonging to the most remarkable castle’s owners — the Trapp and Matsch families. There are also the family trees of both owners on the first floor of the castle.
