Brigandine armor from Visby. Type 3, according to Todermann’s typology. Western Europe. Middle-second half of the XIVth century. The armor of the type is different from the type 1 in the point that abdominal plates are vertical and can be divided into several rows, from 3 to 5, they form a single system with the side plates consisting of 7 to 23 elements protecting the abdomen, sides and back of the fighter. May consist of up to 84 plates.
